The Cryptography Research Fund allows us to waive the registration fee for all student presenters of an accepted paper at the main conference. In addition, a limited number of stipends are available to those unable to obtain funding to attend the conference. This year we will offer free accommodation (a room for single occupancy in a hotel at Sannomiya central area) as stipends. Students are encouraged to apply if such assistance is needed.

To apply for a stipend please send an email to the general chair with subject ‘Stipend Request’ explaining as to why you need funding. Further, ask your supervisor to send an email to the general chair, or attach a letter of your supervisor confirming that: (1) you are a student engaged in cryptography research and (2) there is not sufficient funding in your home institution to cover the costs to travel to Japan and participate in the conference.

The first deadline for student stipend application is October 1, 2019 for notification on October 5, and the second deadline is October 15, 2019 for notification on October 19. Please note that funds might run out in the first cycle. A smaill number of free rooms are still available for stipend.
