Student Stipends
A limited number of stipends will be available to students who are unable to obtain funding to attend the conference. The general fund for stipends is provided by the generous support from our sponsors, and will be especially used to increase diversity within the cryptographic community. For this reason, we strongly encourage applications from women and members of other historically underrepresented groups.
Applications submitted outside of the submission period are not guaranteed to be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Students presenting a paper
If you are a student presenting at Asiacrypt 2025, your registration fee will be covered by the Cryptography Research Fund for Student Presenters. Please submit the student presenter's registration fee waiver form before registering to obtain a registration waiver token. Students falling into this category do not need to apply for a stipend unless they are in need of additional financial support.
Application procedure
The application for student stipend should consist of a single PDF file with all of the following information:
- the student's CV
- a statement from the student
- a letter from the student's research advisor with a justification of financial need
The student's statement should include a summary of research interests and describe how the applicant will benefit from participating in Asiacrypt. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Students can also apply for a travel stipend, regardless of whether they are presenting a paper.
Additional information
Applicants should be aware that we do not usually fund all of an awardee's attendance costs. Thus an applicant is likely to also need to supplement the funds from other sources. The awarded stipend will usually cover the cost of registration to the conference and exceptionally we will provide accommodation or travel. The exact number of stipend awardees will be dependent on the overall funding available for stipends.
